The AIP seeks to build and nurture creative communities through ongoing education, mentoring and exhibitions.
Founded in 2001 the AIP offers short courses in the area of photography. Students come from a range of backgrounds and different levels of experience from absolute beginner through to professionals looking to upskill or be inspired in a group learning environment. In all courses students are encouraged to participate and engage in the experience, both contribuiting to and benefiting from the different perspectives their cohort bring.
Courses can be taken as discrete learning modules or as part of a grander learning narrative.
At AIP we encourage and nurture creative collaborations, friendships and an engagement with the creative process that extend beyond the courses offered.
With a satellite campus launching in the Southern Highlands in late 2011 the AIP hopes to enrich further the creative communities outside Sydney.
